New Progress Note Form Alert: Instructions and Procedures for the Early Intervention Provider

Last week was very busy one for the seminar division here at Therapeutic Resources!

On two separate nights our Early Intervention OT/PT supervisor, Julieanne Costa presented the new documentation guidelines now required by the NYC Early Intervention Program.  



The forms have been completely revised, are much longer and demand much more from the providers to demonstrate that the mandated child continues to need early intervention services.    Julieanne did a fantastic job demonstrating how the new forms should be filled out.  She showed our therapists the clinical reasoning skills which must be engaged to provide the information to ensure continuation of services.  By the the end of the inservice, everyone was overwhelmed with the new requirements, but based upon the reviews, felt that they were now prepared to meet the ongoing challenges of providing early intervention services along with the required documentation.
