Lisa and Marilyn Speak at Touro College

Last week Marilyn and Lisa trekked out to an unknown Touro College campus in Bayshore, Long Island.  (Who knew there was a Touro way out there?). They presented "Therapeutic Resources: A  25 Year Work in Progress - The Business of Therapy" to the OTR students who were taking a course entitled Current Trends in Occupational Therapy.
It was here that Marilyn and Lisa both shared their stories of how they started TR, their growing pains and the lessons learned from creating and staffing a company for over 25 years. They talked about current trends in the therapy world and how financial and medical, national and state issues impact on the demand for therapists. 

The students asked poignant questons such as "What is in store for the future and what can they expect when they graduate?"

The 2 hour presentation was a booming success and students came away informed and enriched. Marilyn and Lisa came away with sixteen more therapists who can spread the word about Therapeutic Resources!
