Long Island University’s Induction Ceremony to Pi Theta Epsilon
On August 3, 2011, 19 Long Island University Occupational Therapy Students were inducted into the Pi Theta Epsilon honor society of AOTA. Lisa Davis, MA, OTR/L, LIU faculty member, was in attendance to watch the ceremony. Lisa Davis is also the executive director of Therapeutic Resources, which sponsored the food for the celebration. Students presented their research projects in poster board format, and explained each aspect of their research to viewers. This was an exceptional event that prepped students - who are now deeply connected with the process of carrying out research and making it useful to other fellow clinicians - to be future clinicians.
