9:30-10:30 AM: Overview of the SNF Final Rule 2012 And Its Impact On Rehab Management
Understand the changes and their impact on the way we manage our rehab
department. Special emphasis will be placed on changes in group therapy
utilization and documentation and the impact of End of Therapy, Resumption of Therapy and Change in Therapy OMRA’s, along with a review of all of the other changes which effect rehab management.

10:45AM-12:00 PM: Facilitating The Nursing/Rehab Relationship To
Ensure Reimbursement
Under the 2012 changes, the MDS assessment schedule has been modified to
incorporate tighter assessment windows and, even more significantly, changes in the rules for End OF Therapy OMRAs. In order to avoid potential negative reimbursement consequences nursing and rehab must work together on a daily basis to communicate and schedule collaboratively. In this section two seasoned nursing home veterans will share how this can be seamlessly accomplished.

1:00-2:30 PM: Developing  Proactive Rehab Management Strategies In Response To  2012 Changes
With change comes a need to adapt how we manage our departmental
operations. The 2012 changes require much more oversight by managers on a daily basis to ensure that there are no negative reimbursement consequences from missed sessions. Additionally, changes in rates and recalibration of case mix will also impact reimbursement strategies. Find out how a corporate rehab manager is adapting multiple facilities to the new realities.
