Therapists must develop treatment priorities and activities appropriate for the classroom which will facilitate success in achieving IEP goals. What kinds of treatment strategies are effective for the school aged child with autism spectrum disorders? What can you do in a thirty minute therapy slot? With a focus on the school environment, this presentation will demonstrate therapeutic techniques which can be used to address behavioral and academic issues as well as odd habits frequently seen in the child with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Videos, lecture, and demonstrations will be utilized to illustrate concepts.
