The course will provide multiple strategies that will enhance practitioners’ direct assessment and treatment programs for young children with ASD in the clinic, classroom and/or at home. It will facilitate the development of effective daily routines that support function and successful participation of the children across different environments. Evidence based practice suggestions will be introduced in the context of specific case studies of children with ASD ranging from 3 to 10 years of age. Specific goals and sample treatment plans and their outcomes will be shared with practitioners, that can be directly implemented in the clinic. Participants will be shown specific therapeutic techniques and sequences that are effective in addressing sensory processing needs, gross motor, fine motor and self-care skills. Resources for the development of useful treatment materials and equipment for the clinic will be provided in the handouts. Register here.
