Therapeutic Resources at the AOTA Annual Convention and MOTEC Meeting! (PICTURES)

Lisa Davis, MA, OTR/L and Marilyn Rosee, MS, OTR/L, Executive Directors of Therapeutic Resources have had a whirlwind week of networking with rehabilitation professionals, attending cutting edge seminars, and learning about new products out on the market for Occupational Therapists.

The AOTA Annual Conference and Expo which took place April 24th-28th in San Diego has the mission to promote the heartfelt leadership and compassion that defines not only Occupational Therapy, but all rehab professionals.

Bravo to the AOTA for a wonderful experience.   Lisa and Marilyn hope to take what they have learned and develop some great programs for OTs, PTs, and SLPs in the year ahead!

Occupational Therapy is always on the mind of Lisa Davis!! Executive Director, Professor, and now a member of the Metropolitan Occupational Therapy Council of New York/New Jersey (MOTEC).

As secretary of this organization - Lisa and her colleagues have dutifully attended and contributed to the advancement of Occupational Therapy. Here are some candid April meeting moments!

Thanks for sharing. Love the T-shirt, my sister is a COTA. I work for persons with Parkinson's Disease in NE. My impresssion is that OT services are under- utilized in all phases of the disease, but very much in Long Term Care for educating staff and family on positional strategies, stretching and massage to reduce rigidity and pain, to promote improved posture through out the day to aid in breath support, and reduce pressure on the gut. Do you have any professional resources To aid local development?

Many thanks,
Karen Anderson , UNMC
Parkinson's Education Coordinator
