This new two-day seminar is taking place at our new seminar venue, Sheraton LaGuardia East, 135-20 39th Avenue, Flushing, NY, on Sunday, November 8 and Monday, November 9, 2009.
Proper management of a rehab department in today’s reimbursement climate requires very specific skills and knowledge. Astute application of this knowledge will translate into capture of reimbursement opportunities under Medicare and Medicaid while providing high standards of care for patients and residents.
Typically the Rehab Department is managed by therapists who have little business or management training as part of their professional education. They must learn on the job. This course presents with great detail the regulatory nuances and management strategies needed to ensure proper capture of reimbursement under Medicare and Medicaid.
Leading managers in the world of long term care rehabilitation will share their expertise, and demonstrate how they have created management structures and procedures designed to capitalize on opportunities available under current regulation. Strategic planning for upcoming changes in Medicare A will be discussed, as well as evaluation of our first year under Medicaid Case Mix.
