LaGuardia Community College's OT Ethics Class

Photobucket

Teaching the OT Ethics course at LaGuardia Community College has been a great opportunity for Lisa to bring together old friends and colleagues to share their professional "ethical dilemmas" with aspiring OTA students. Last Monday and Tuesday panels of OT professionals volunteered their time to discuss ethical dilemmas they have experienced in their practice.

On Monday night, Marilyn Rosee, MS, OTR/L, co-owner of Therapeutic Resources, Danny Quintero, OTR, Assistant Director of Kings Harbor Nursing Care Center, and Lisa Lenisch, COTA of Jewish Home and Hospital of New York City shared their experiences with the class.

Tuesday night's panel consisted of Sonya Robenov, MA, OTR; Director of Rehab at Goldcrest Care Center (and a former COTA), Nina Finkelstein, MA, OTR, Assistant Director of Rehab at Cold Spring Harbor Care Center, Debra James, COTA and Ionez Robinson COTA,

The students were in awe as they listened and questioned panel members on ethical situations in the real therapy world!
