On
February 23 Lisa motored out to the New York Institute of Technology to present Wheelchair and Bed Positioning to the Occupational Therapy students. Nestled in the woods of Long Island, Lisa arrived armed with information, demonstrations and equipment to fill the allotted three hours.

For the last segment of the lecture students were divided into three groups and given case studies of patients who presented with positioning problems. The students task was to devise and create positioning support devices using foam, wedges and masking tape. The students were quite creative and managed to make wedge cushions, arm rests, foot pads, calf panels, lumbar supports and more. Their problem solving skills demonstrated that they were able to integrate the material in preparation for the real world problems they will soon face in the clinic.

Thanks to the NYIT OT students and faculty for inviting Lisa to guest lecture!

That was a nice post. Informing people for new style and way how to use wheelchair.
Through it, we can now have the idea on how to make ourselves comfortable if one day we can have one.
