Thank you to all who attended our course this past Sunday, "Connecting COTAs and PTAs with Long Term Care Guidelines". The seminar was a great success!
This course will provided therapy assistants and therapists new to long term care with the knowledge and understanding of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement and how these realities impact on care delivery and caseload management. Our course reviewed payment systems (Medicare and Medicaid), how they work, what is meant by Case Mix, RUGS and MDS and demonstrated how reimbursement issues impact demand for therapists. Documentation requirements and specific treatment actions will were covered to help therapists contribute to the revenue potential of their facility while providing the best standard of care.
