Learn Everything About Starting a School Based Practice

PhotobucketTherapeutic Resources is taking you through the nuts and bolts of starting a school based practice. On Thursday, August 12th from 5-8pm, Aida Colon, OTR, (pictured above right) a professor at La Guardia Community College has developed an evening course designed for the practitioner who wants the autonomy and benefits of an independent practice.

As a 14 year veteran of the New York City School system, Aida will give you the nuts and bolts of having your own school based practice. You'll learn what to expect when you take a school based case, what to look for when observing and evaluating children, essentials for your therapy bag, and basic treatment strategies in the school.

The best part of this course? It's absolutely free when you take a Department of Education case through Therapeutic Resources. Supplement your income with a couple of cases, or make a career change. This course is offered at $79.00. To register, please contact Jennifer Giannone, Events Coordinator, at 212-529-9780 or go online to www.therapeuticresource.com . To find out more about working with school aged children, please contact Wendy Toussaint at 212.589.1215.
