For the first time, our quarterly Long Term Care Council Meeting was held at Norwegian Christian Home in Brooklyn.
The newly rebuilt facility is amazing - it even has a small museum on site. Ira Silfan, well known rehab consultant presented a program outlining the Medicare denial process and how managers can be both proactive and reactive in order to assure reimbursement. Alice Massa, Director of Rehab at Kings Harbor led an interesting discussion about current issues and trends.
SpectraSoft, a software company, which makes rehab scheduling and coding software sponsored the event. For more information on their products go to ssoft.com
The next LTC Council Meeting is scheduled for March 1. Location to be announced.
