Therapeutic Resources has just announced a new mid-season seminar geared especially for Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Speech Language Patholigists working in the long term care and subacute setting.

The seminar, entitled Rehab Survival Under New SNF PPS Rules for Fiscal Year 2012: Developing Strategies to Ensure Revenue Success

The SNF Prospective Payment System Rule for 2012, implemented on October 1, 2011, will a have a significant impact on reimbursement for rehabilitation services and the way in which department’s are managed.
Changes for 2012 include:
  • Recalibration RUGS IV case mix indexes along with reductions in rehab category reimbursement
  • Major Group Therapy policy and documentation changes
  • MDS 3.0 Assessment Schedule and OMRA (Other Medicare Requirement Assessment) changes*
  • Changes in student supervision rules
*Important Note: Under the changes, the EOT (End Of Therapy) OMRA occurs any time a patient misses more three days in a row of therapy (no matter the cause),  creating the potential default out of every rehab category.

Facilities must prepare now in order to prevent losses in the rehab driven revenue stream. It is IMPERATIVE that rehab and nursing managers understand the changes and their ramifications in order to immediately implement strategies. In order to protect your facility from financial loss, Therapeutic Resources has developed a full day seminar for Rehab Managers and Supervisors entitled Rehab Survival Under New SNF PPS Rules for Fiscal Year 2012.

This conference is a MUST ATTEND for all rehab managers and supervisors. It will cover the changes, their impact on operations and recommended management strategies to ensure the financial integrity
of your rehab program.
