EARLY INTERVENTION

EARLY INTERVENTION

Early Intervention is a program that provides services to children from birth to age three (0 to 3) who have, or are at risk of having a developmental disability. Therapeutic Resources Early Intervention Program promotes family centeredness to facilitate the developmental progress of eligible children and to assist and empower families to meet their child’s and their own needs. Therapeutic Resources is an approved provider of Early Intervention Home and Community Based Services in New York City. This program is funded and regulated by the New York State Department of Health and in New York City by the NYC Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Alcoholism Services. All authorized services including service coordination, evaluations and therapy are at no direct cost to parents.

SCHOOL BASED SERVICES

The School Based Services Division at Therapeutic Resources is responsible for the placement of occupational and physical therapists in public schools. We have several contracts to provide related services with the New York Department of Education in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and the Bronx. We are also an independent provider with the Department of Education, providing related services to preschool children. We accept related services referrals from district administrators and parents. Services may be provided at the children's homes or at their daycare centers. In addition to therapy services, our agency is an approved site (regulated by New York state) to conduct preschool evaluations and provide special education itinerant services (SEIT).

At the core of Therapeutic Resources is the Rehab Staffing Division, which places Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational and Physical Therapists and Assistants. We work with all populations from the youngest babies to the most long living seniors! Our services are provided to every type of facility and setting where therapists work including long term care, hospitals, schools, outpatient and home care. We provide services in the five boroughs, Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester and Rockland Counties as well as New Jersey.
