On a rainy June 18th Dr. Cheryl Ben David repeated her successful course Enhancing Rehab Revenue Under Medicare and Medicaid: Reimbursement Fundamentals for Long Term Care.
The course focused on how managers can capitalize on revenue opportunities under prospective payment for Medicare Part A and Medicaid case mix. The course covered management, staffing documentation, billing and coding issues, as well as presenting ideas for developing reimbursable group and individual programs designed to enhance quality of care for the long term care resident.
Cheryl brought in the latest information regarding the proposed RUGS IV classification system and the MDS 3.0, which are both scheduled to be implemented in 2010.
