Lisa and Marilyn got up at the crack of dawn on August 5 and motored down to the Borgota Hotel in Atlantic City for the annual Zimmet Healthcare long term care reimbursement conference.
Over 400 nursing home administrators, nurses and therapists were in attendance including many friends and clients of Therapeutic Resources. We listened attentively as the many changes in Medicare for 2010 were outlined. Proposed changes include new resource utilization groupings (RUGS IV), reallocation of rates and in the way therapy will be delivered. By all indications 2010 is going to be a pivotal year - and the facilities most prepared for the changes will thrive.
To that end, Therapeutic Resources is planning a course entitled Rehab Boot Camp on November 8th and 9th, designed to help rehab managers develop strategies to prepare them for their department's upcoming changes.
