For the 23rd time, Lisa and Marilyn motored up to the Catskills for the three day New York Chapter of the American College of Health Care Administrators Conference at the Villa Roma Resort. As always, TR had a colorful booth full of giveaways, flowers and candy.
Nursing Home Administrators, Dieticians, Directors of Nursing and Directors of Finance attended for continuing education credits, and during scheduled breaks were encouraged to visit the exhibit hall. (Since the Villa Roma Resort is in Callicoon, New York - with little to offer in shopping and entertainment - visiting the booths was the only excitement available to participants. This was good for us).
We schmoozed and greeted over 100 visitors, rekindled old relationships and tried to develop new ones.
Armed with dozens of business cards and contacts, we motored home with promises of facility visits and, most of all, therapy placements! -Lisa and Marilyn
