Managing Difficult Behaviors in Children During Treatment Sessions - A Great Success

Tuesday night saw  a sold out event here at Therapeutic Resources!  Margie Rubin - the special education behavioral guru - was flown in from San Fransisco to speak for three hours on her specialty, Managing Difficult Behaviors in Children During Treatment Sessions

Attendees (which included occupational, physical and speech therapists and special educators) were  riveted to her every word. Margie gave a very practical and informative presentation that spoke to the clinicians on many levels. Most of the attending therapists stayed after the presentation to ask her specific questions - in addition to the 15 minute question and problem solving discussion at the end of the lecture.

Margie revealed specific treatment strategies, including the use of  stickers and prize box reinforcers, using parents and siblings for suggestions on motivators, toy recommendations, and the use of timers.

This workshop is always a crowd pleaser, and Margie Rubin wowed them again.  Based on the course evaluations, no one left disappointed.
